Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractor's license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work. LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Building Contractor. It is the intention of this project to replace and expand the existing parking lot at 11025 SW 84th St. with a new parking lot that will provide a clearly delineated roadways in the Kendall Cottage area as well as expand the paved parking area. The newly renovated parking area will have clearly delineated areas for ADA and non-ADA parking. It will be sloped in accordance with all local and state codes and regulations with newly installed parking bumpers. Additionally, a five (5) foot sidewalk, as specified, is to be installed. Light poles will be installed featuring LED lighting and meeting all local, state and federal codes and regulations and existing parking lot lighting will be modernized to be in compliance will all Miami-Dade County codes, regulations and policies.
