Abatement of the caulk on the interior and exterior of four stained glass windows in Summerall Chapel. Construction Cost Range: $50,000 - $80,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The effective date of this agreement shall be the date at the top of this page. The Date of Commencement of the Work shall be July 22, 2025 . The Contract Time is established as 150 calendar day The original stained-glass windows in Summerall Chapel have asbestos containing caulk on the interior and exterior. The caulk on the interior and exterior must be abated ahead of removal of the stained-glass panels for restoration. There are 4 windows to be abated during this scope of work, and they are listed below.All work shall be in accordance with all, OSHA, DHEC, local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The contractor must coordinate all work, including work by Owner. All equipment, materials, and permits required to perform the work are the responsibility of the contractor, including but not limited to scaffolding. Some movement of pews will be required for installation of scaffolding. Pews located under scaffolding should have their cushions, Bibles, and Hymnals relocated in the Chapel, and covered with plastic, prior to the installation of scaffolding and for the duration of the work. Plastic should cover all pews under scaffolding. Scaffolding will not be braced by anchoring into any surface in the Chapel.
