The Kings Prairie Special Road District will be accepting sealed bids until May 20, 2025 for the following road maintenance project: Single Chip-and-Seal Kings Prairie Special Road District reserves the right to refuse or reject any or all bids. Fog seal 3 miles of road (mileage is approximate and may be more or less) Single coat chip and seal 7 miles of roads (mileage is approximate and may be more or less) All fog seal and single coat roads must be swept clean before application. Oil must be applied by a computerized distributor. Rock must be applied by computerized chip spreader. All chip and seal must be compacted by pneumatic roller. Chip and seal oil shall be MC-3000 applied at the minimum rate of .34 gallon per square yard. Fog seal oil shall be rapid set fog seal oil applied at minimum rate of .20 gallon per square yard. Chips shall be 1/2 -inch clean chips applied at the rate of 25 pounds per square yard. All application rates are estimated and may vary! Contractor will supply all signage and traffic control. Contractor will supply all rock and oil needed for the completion of the project. All work must be completed no later than October 3, 2025 In the event the project is not completed by October 3, 2025, a penalty of $500 per day for each day beyond that date will apply, starting with October 6, 2025. Kings Prairie Special Road District reserves the right to refuse or reject any or all bids.
