Just more than 78 percent of early voters, or 52 votes, voted in favor of the $27 million bond that would replace the district’s aging school buildings, which includes a 76-year-old elementary and high school building. The $27.9 million bond would provide a new 49,000-square-foot building with a shared gymnasium and library to accommodate elementary and high school students. The bond also would fund a new school bus and the demolition of three metal buildings that were condemned in 2008. ----------------------------------- Requests for Proposals ("Proposals") for Construction Manager at Risk Services (one-step process) for the High Island Construction and Demolition Projects, 2113 6 th Street, High Island, Texas 77623.
