Rehabilitation of one (1) 475,000-gallon ground storage tank, and rehabilitation of one (1) 15,000-gallon pressure vessel, as listed in the Specifications for Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District - High Island North Ground Storage Tank and Pressure Vessel Rehabilitation prepared by Dunham Engineering. The work consists of the rehabilitation of one (1) 475,000-gallon ground storage tank, and the rehabilitation of one (1) 15,000-gallon pressure tank, located at 1837 Texas Highway 124, Bolivar Peninsula, Texas 77623 (see Maps in Maps to Site section). Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank form of proposal furnished. Sealed envelopes shall be marked in the upper left-hand corner as follows: "DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM" BID FOR BOLIVAR PENINSULA SPECIAL UTILITY DISTRICT HIGH ISLAND GROUND STORAGE TANK AND PRESSURE VESSEL REHABILITATION All proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, payable to Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award. Bids without check or bid bond will not be considered. All payment and performance bonds must be issued by a surety licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance and must have a minimum Best Key Rating Guide of "A" or "A-". The Contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder who, in the opinion of the Owner and Engineer, is best capable of performing the work. The evaluation shall be based on the contractor's previous work experience, available resources, knowledge of the work and bid price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. Any questions or requests for clarification must be submitted through the CIVCAST service, or by email at caleb.johnson@hmttank.com. Questions received by email will be posted online. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of local conditions, and carefully examine the specifications and other documents. Should the bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the specifications or documents, or have a question regarding their meaning, bidder should at once notify Dunham Engineering and obtain clarification prior to submitting any bid.
