Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Gaffney, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project generally consists of the improvements at the Providence Creek pump station which include the replacement of the three existing submersible pumps and controls. It also includes the improvements to the Broad River WWTP which include the improvements to the existing RAS/WAS pumping station; a new 1.0 MG sludge holding tank with blower and coarse bubble aeration; replacement of the sluice gates in the aeration basin outlet structure; new floating surface aerator in the aeration basin; electrical improvements which include a new standby power system and main switchboard; and associated work tasks for a complete and proper installation. Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. Funding for the project shall be provided via a SCIIP grant from the SC RIA and local match funding provided by the Gaffney Board of Public Works. As a result, contractors and subcontractors shall comply with the applicable contract provisions required by the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principals and Audit Requirements (also referred to as Uniform Guidance) found in 2 CFR 200 Appendix II. Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned business and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428). Contractors shall have a classification of WP. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, or to reject any or all bids.
