Renovation of a theater / auditorium in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 36,000-square-foot, eight-story above grade theater / auditorium.
This is a roof replacement project of the historic War Memorial Opera House building located at 301 Van Ness Ave. The intent of this project is to replace the existing, and likely original, lead-coated copper roof to match. This includes replacing the mansard metal roofing around the perimeter of the original building. Some reroofing associated exterior repairs are also included in the project scope. In addition, there is a bid alternate to design and install a fall protection system and roof access ladders. The building will be fully operational and open to the public during construction. CONTRACT DURATION: 310 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. Class "B" license required to bid. LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 8% LBE. A corporate surety bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Administrative Code Section 6.22(a) requires all construction greater than $25,000 to include performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract award. Right reserved to reject any or all bids and waive any minor irregularities. 3.30% MBE; 0.30% WBE; 4.40% OBE.
