Granite School District (GSD) is requesting the services of a General Electrical Contractor (E200) to replace the Auditorium House Lighting at Taylorsville High School, 5225 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Work shall include, but is not limited to: o Demolition, removal and disposal of existing light fixtures, devices, and controls as indicated in the Construction Documents. o Furnish and install new light fixtures, devices, and controls as indicated in the Construction Documents. o Programming for controls as required. o Incidental patch and repair of existing surfaces to remain, damaged by demolition and construction activity. Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid amount, at the time the bid is submitted, if the total bid amount for any job is $50,000 or greater. Acceptable bid security shall be limited to: (1) a bid bond underwritten by a company licensed to issue bid bonds in the State of Utah and listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570; (2) a cashier's, certified, or official check drawn by a federally insured financial institution made payable to the GSD Board of Education; A full one hundred percent (100%) performance bond in the amount of the Preconstruction Compensation covering the faithful execution of the Preconstruction Work in accordance with the Contract Documents; A full one hundred percent (100%) performance bond in the amount of the Contract Price covering the faithful execution of the Construction Phase Work in accordance with the Contract Documents; GSD reserves all rights to pursue its issues, disputes or claims in law or equity including, but not limited to, any or all of the following: damages, delay damages and impacts, losses, liability, patent or latent defects, or failure to perform under the Contract Documents.
