Chennault Aviation & Military Museum - Chennault Floor Preservation. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all additive alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in this State and who is residing in this state. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five percent (5%) by any method is acceptable. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and shall be countersigned by a person who is contracted with the surety company or bond issuer as agent of the company or issuer, and who is licensed as an insurance agent in this State, and who is residing in this State, in an amount equal to the 100% of the contract amount. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. The intent is to award the project to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. However, the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs.
