Site work and paving for a civil project in Lavon, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and tools; performing all necessary labor and supervision; and all work appurtenant to the installation of reinforced concrete pavement and RCP drainage pipe. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the City of Lavon, Texas, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from a reliable Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of award. The successful Bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas, to act as Surety and be acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. The Contract Times will commence to run on the 30th day after the Effective Date of the Contract or, if a Notice to Proceed is given, on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed. A Notice to Proceed may be given at any time within 30 days after the Effective Date of the Contract. In no event will the Contract Times commence to run later than the 60th day after the day of Bid opening or the 30th day after the Effective Date of the Contract, whichever date is earlier. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such written questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents Questions received less than ten days before the date for opening of bids may not be answered
