Sealed proposals are invited for the Lavon Trail Parkway [CIP-40] project. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a Cashier’s Check or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from a reliable Surety Company as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute required bond and guarantee forms within ten days after receipt of notice of award. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from an approved Surety Company. All unit prices must be stated in both script and figures. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause for rejection. Only original signatures will be accepted. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and inform themselves regarding local conditions. Attention is called to the provisions of the Acts of the 43rd Legislature of Texas and amendments concerning the wage scale and payment of prevailing wages specified, established by the City of Lavon for this project.
