Renovation of a water / sewer project in Lorton, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The County of Fairfax, Virginia, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms to provide architecture and engineering services for the design and construction administration professional services for Admin and Laboratory Building Rehabilitation for the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Water Recycling Facility (NMCWRF), located at 9399 Richmond Highway, Lorton, Virginia, 22079. The Project Scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing for the Admin and Laboratory Building. The Administration portion of the building consists of two floors of offices, a basement, and an auditorium with a total floor area of approximately 10,000 GSF. The laboratory portion contains 16 individual Biosafety Level 1 (BSL-1) lab modules, and it is a State-certified Lab (VELAP) that is considered as a very critical and sensitive County facility with strict performance requirements. The total Laboratory portion floor area is approximately 5,000 GSF.
