Site work for a water / sewer project in Lorton, Virginia. Working plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The owner has determined a prequalified list of general contractors. The work of this project includes construction for the Solid Rehabilitation Project Phase-4 at the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Water Recycling Facility, known as NMCWRF Solids Processing Rehabilitation - Contract 4 (Solids - Contract 4). The work will be accomplished within the County of Fairfax, Virginia, as described and shown in the contract documents. Only firms that have been pre-qualified according to the procedures in the Prequalification Application will be eligible to submit bids for this project. Bids received from those who have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. Question Deadline 12/16/2025 All questions concerning this Pre-qualification Application procedure shall be submitted in writing to the attention of Amin Abdelhameid, Wastewater Design and Construction Division, email address: DPWESCAPWastewaterTreatmentInquiry@fairfaxcounty.gov To be considered, such requests must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the deadline for the submission of the Pre-qualification Application indicated in this Invitation for Pre-qualification. The work will take place within the NMCWRF, a 67 million-gallons-per day (MGD) Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant with peak flows up to 120 MGD that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With multiple other construction work taking place at the NMCWRF, all work will have to be completed in phases to maintain the NMCWRF's continuous operational needs. The Contract Award date is projected for May 2026, with an anticipated construction start of June 2026. The overall construction duration is planned to be approximately 40 months. These are estimated dates and durations and are subject to change. Applicants are encouraged to use the services of a postal delivery service provider to ensure entrance can be gained to the building for delivery. Electronic submissions of Pre-qualification Applications are to be transmitted by 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23,2025 to the following email address: DPWESCAPWastewaterTreatmentInquiry@fairfaxcounty.gov and MUST be 20MB or smaller in file size. Either delivery method may be used, and the applicant is solely responsible for the delivery of their application. Applications received after this time will not be accepted.
