For questions regarding this project, please contact UA Project Manager Grant Long at 205-348-5950 or galong2@ua.edu Summary Project Description: The Lakeside Dining Hall is one of the University of Alabama's most used dining halls on campus with a variety of restaurants and cafeteria style dining. This existing building was constructed with a brick and limestone exterior CMU walls, structural steel beams and columns, and a modified bitumen roof on steel joists. This project entails renovating an existing kitchen space on the second floor to receive a new dining experience, installing air curtains on the exterior doors of the second-floor lobby and Dunkin Donuts space, and installing a new overhead rolling security gate. The kitchen work includes moving and reconfiguring electrical and other services for new kitchen equipment, installing new electrical and data services for new digital menu boards, and bringing the space to a neutral state to receive a future branding package. Fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work will be required to complete this project. B. Contract Scope: Renovation of the Lakeside Dining Hall. C.
