Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Sarasota, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The County intends to select a contractor to make repairs to nine dugout structures located at two County parks. The County anticipates the Construction Contract to run for the duration of the project. Refer to the Solicitation Documents and Attachments section for minimum qualifications, scope/specifications, and insurance requirements. Question Deadline 04/25/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Any inquiries, suggestions or requests concerning interpretation, clarification or additional information pertaining to the solicitation shall be submitted electronically Sarasota County Parks experienced damage from Hurricane Milton at several of its athletic fields and requires a qualified contractor to make repairs to nine dugout structures located at two County parks: A. Babe Ruth Park; 185 S. Pompano Ave., Sarasota 34237 Total Dugout Structure Repair Quantity: 3 i. Baseball Field 2 - 1st & 3rd base sides (Qty 2) ii. Baseball Field 4 - 3rd base sides (Qty 1) B. Youth Athletic Complex; 2810 17th Street, Sarasota 34234 Total Dugout Structure Repair Quantity: 6 i. Baseball Field 1 - 1st base side (Qty 1) ii. Baseball Field 2 - 1st base side (Qty 1) iii. Baseball Field 3 - 1st base side (Qty 1) iv. Baseball Field 4 - 1st base side (Qty 1) v. Baseball Field 5 - 3rd base side (Qty 1) vi. Baseball Field 8 - 1st base side (Qty 1) SPECIFICATIONS: BABE RUTH PARK These dugouts require roof replacement. The dugout frames will not be replaced. The roof replacement will be attached to the existing frame using the materials listed below to complete the work. A. 12' x 27' dugout roof size B. Pressure Treated (PT) Trusses - 2" x 6", 16" apart (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with white paint. C. PT Fascia - 2"x 8". Painted with primer first, then with red paint. D. Drip edge - type D "t" Profile 2 3/4 " x 1 1/2 ". Painted red. E. PT headers - 2" x 8" (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with white paint. F. PT Cross beam - 4" x 10"x 25'. Painted with primer first, then with white paint. G. PT Cross beam, support centered 4" x 8". Painted with primer first, then with blue paint. Use appropriate Simpson Hurricane Ties support to beam and use appropriate Simpson strong ties to anchor support post to concrete). H. 3/4 " PT plywood decking - Painted with primer first, then with white paint. I. 4' underlayment rolls - to be placed on top of the 3/4 " plywood. J. 4' torch down asphalt rolls - to be adhered to the underlayment. SPECIFICATIONS: YOUTH ATHLETIC COMPLEX, Fields 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 These dugouts require roof replacement. The dugout frames will not be replaced. The roof replacement will be attached to the existing frame using the materials listed below to complete the work. A. 32' x 10' dugout roof size B. Headers - 8" x 2" PT, (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with white paint. C. (4) 4" x 4" x 7' PT support posts 7'6" apart (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with orange paint. D. 2" x 6" PT Joyces 16" apart. Painted with primer first, then with white paint. (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code) E. Front Header beam - 30' x 4" x 10" PT. Painted with primer first, then with white paint (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). F. 2" x 6" PT side fascia - Painted with primer first, then with black paint. G. Drip edge - type D "t" Profile 2 3/4 " x 1 1/2 ". Painted orange. H. 4' underlayment rolls - to be placed on top of the 3/4 " plywood. I. 4' torch down asphalt rolls - to be adhered to the underlayment. 7. SPECIFICATIONS: YOUTH ATHLETIC COMPLEX, Field 8 Contractor will be responsible for the replacement of the entire dugout structure and roof using the materials listed below. The final product should mirror the existing remaining dugout on field 8. A. 20' x 10' dugout roof size B. (5) 4" x 4" PT posts 4' apart on back side 6' high, anchored by concrete in ground - Painted with primer first, then with orange paint. C. (3) 4" x 4" PT post 6 1/2 ' apart on front side 8' high, anchored by concrete in ground - Painted with primer first, then with orange paint. D. 2" x 8" x 20' PT rear header mounted to rear 4 x 4 posts (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with black paint. E. 2" x 8" x 20' PT rear header mounted to front 4 x 4 posts (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code) Painted with primer first, then with black paint. F. 2" x 8" x 10' PT side fascia. Painted with primer first, then with black paint. G. 2" x 6" PT Joyces 16" apart (with Simpson Strong Ties required by code). Painted with primer first, then with orange paint. H. Roofing - 3/4 " PT Plywood anchored to Joyces. Painted with primer first, then with orange paint. I. Use 5V metal roofing panels with drip edge flashing around perimeter (use metal roofing screws with weatherstripping). This drip edge should remain uncoated to match the existing dugout.
