City of Warren, Ohio will accept bids for: Warren West Utility Improvement Project - Nevada Waterline Replacement Work includes furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and services necessary for completion of the project. All work shall be done as shown on drawings called for in the description of the work and in a manner directed by the specifications of the City of Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio. Each bidder shall be required to file with his/her bid guaranty in one of the following forms: o A bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, which can be converted to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid if the bid is accepted; or o A certified check equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid; or o A cashier's check equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid; or o A letter of credit, pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid; made payable to the City of Warren, Ohio, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and its performance secured. Any bid guaranty shall be subject to the applicable provisions of Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code to the same extent as if said provisions of Chapter 153 were fully incorporated within said bid guaranty. If the bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall enter into a contract and furnish a Contract Performance Bond in an amount equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the total contract price, in accordance with the specifications. (A) A Contract Performance Bond in the name of the City of Warren in an amount equal to 100% of the estimated cost of work, conditioned among other things, that the contractor will perform the work upon the terms proposed, within the time prescribed, in accordance with the plans and specifications. (B) A Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the estimated cost of the work condition for the payment by the contractor and all subcontractors for labor preformed and materials furnished in connection with the project involved. Attention of bidders is directed to the Labor Provisions: The successful bidder will be required to pay prevailing rate of wage as required in Section 4115.06 of the Ohio Revised Code and as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration. The schedule of Prevailing Wage Rates, predetermined by the State of Ohio, must be downloaded and updated by the Contractor. Each Bidder must ensure all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The successful low bidder will be required to comply with all contract requirements for Equal Employment Opportunities. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The City of Warren will award this project within 90 days after bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received; and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City of Warren at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
