Control Tower Area DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work consists of furnishing products, labor, tools, transportation, and services to: 1. Protect existing facilities in place not shown to be disturbed. 2. Maintain water service and pressure to water system throughout construction. 3. Construct temporary access roads, security fencing, and barricades and set up staging area inside Long Beach Airport properties. Post signs for construction traffic inside Long Beach Airport properties. 4. Abandon existing 12-inch waterline on East Spring Street. 5. Construct approximately 230 lineal feet of 12" ductile iron waterline with valves, fittings, and appurtenances in East Spring Street. 6. Construct approximately 2,100 lineal feet of 12" ductile iron waterline with valves, fittings, and appurtenances inside Long Beach Airport properties. 7. Construct approximately 1,290 lineal feet of 8" ductile iron waterline with valves, fittings, and appurtenances inside Long Beach Airport properties.8. Construct approximately 140 lineal feet of 6" ductile iron waterline with valves, fittings, and appurtenances inside Long Beach Airport properties. 9. Remove and replace existing fire hydrant assemblies. 10.Construct water service laterals and meter boxes along pipeline alignment to replace existing. 11.Pressure test new Work. 12.Disinfect appurtenant piping. 13.Reconnect appurtenant piping to water system. 14.Regrade and pave site to restore paving and sitework to preconstruction conditions. 15.Cleanup and restore Long Beach Airport properties to preconstruction conditions including removal of temporary access road.
