Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Toledo, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The University of Toledo ("UToledo") is soliciting qualifications for professional Architect/Engineer ("A/E") Services associated with the relocation of baseball and softball to Main Campus along with a new/relocated intramural/club field. New baseball and softball ballparks are planned for the main campus to be located at the current Carter Field site. Recreational fields are planned to move directly adjacent to the new ballparks to a new turfed area, just to the west. The current throwing event area for track and field will be maintained at this site. A consolidated ballpark complex will create a whole new fan experience and bring greater efficiency to operations. Each ballpark will have its own bullpens, batting cages, dugouts, scoreboard, field lighting, and branded outfield fence. They will share amenities such as restrooms, concessions, gates, security fences, and a press box. Master Planning programming included the following spaces within the new complex: o New Competition Fields for Both Softball and Baseball o Turf infields and outfields o Seating for both sports o A shared press box serving both sports o Concession/Restrooms o Changing areas for home teams o Officials' rooms o Batting Cages o Bull Pens o New synthetic recreational fields Field metrics include: o Synthetic Turf infields and outfields for both fields. Baseball 335' down the left and right field lines, 400' center. o Softball 190' down the left and right field lines, 220' center. o Seating capacities for Baseball (650) and Softball (300). o New synthetic recreational fields will be created, opening up a number of outside event hosting opportunities, as well as creating a new practice field space for Football, band and intramurals. Conceptualization for this project was included in U Toledo's 2023 Athletic Facility Masterplan. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services for each design and construction phase: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.
