Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in South Lake Tahoe, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be performed consists of: At Al Tahoe Well, the work consists of destroying Al Tahoe Well No. 1 in accordance with California Well Standard Requirements, rehabilitation of Al Tahoe Well No. 2 facility including a portable emergency generator and connection, replacing the well pump, motor, discharge manifold and appurtenances, replacing the chemical storage and metering system, replacing the electrical motor control center and variable frequency drive, controls upgrades, addition of diesel fuel storage, building improvements and site improvements. At Bayview Well, the work consists of upgrading the facility for an emergency portable generator, including generator connection, step-up transformer, manual transfer switch, controls upgrades, and site improvements. The site of the work is located on District property (APN 026-078-021), within an established residential neighborhood, at 848 Tallac Avenue, in the City of South Lake Tahoe, in the County of El Dorado, California. A portion of the work is also located on District property (APN 026-066-006), within an established residential neighborhood, at 701 San Francisco Avenue, in the City of South Lake Tahoe, in the County of El Dorado, California. Questions or comments regarding this Project must be submitted electronically via our electronic bidding system and must be received by the District no later than 5 p.m. on May 28, 2025. Questions received after the date indicated will not be accepted. Questions submitted via telephone call, email or faxes will not be accepted. Responses from the District will be communicated via the electronic bidding system. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the District, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted bid price or as detailed in Section 00 20 00, Bid Security, Part 2.05, made payable to the South Tahoe Public Utility District as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a faithful performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be in the forms set forth herein, secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer The South Tahoe Public Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the best interest of the District. Awards shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on Bid Schedule A. Bid Schedule B will be considered as an alternate but shall not affect the determination of the lowest bidder on Bid Schedule A. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject Bid Schedule B at its sole discretion
