Keehi Transfer Station Force Main Replacement Questions relating to this solicitation shall be emailed to Jack Wu at bfspurchasing@honolulu.gov Project Name Keehi Force Main Replacement Project Description Keehi Force Main is a 250-foot 4" diameter sewer force main located under the bike path along North Nimitz Highway. The proposed project involves maintenance of the existing force main that crosses Moanalua Stream. The repair includes removal and a like-to-like replacement of the sewer force main located on the mauka side of a bikeway bridge above water. Off-set air relief valves above the waterway shall also be replaced. HECO Pole 13 adjacent to Kilihau Street will be relocated temporarily or permanently by HECO to facilitate access to the force main and manhole. Ground toning will also be provided to identify existing utilities as much as possible. To facilitate this work, temporary scaffolding will be installed in the water, providing a stable platform for workers to reach the force main. Staging of equipment of materials will be located on the City-owned Keehi Transfer Station property adjacent to the bridge. Grubbing will be required on the stream bank for access to the abutments and access to construct temporary scaffolding. Work plan, materials, and equipment detail below may change based on the methodology developed by the contractor. The footprint of the work area will not change. Work Plan 1. Mobilization 2. New concrete work involves pour for a 1'-6"x 2'-0" ARV support that is attached to the bridge located approximately center of the stream, see plan on C-001. 10.
