Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 375,000-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for paving for a educational facility.
As of April 15, 2025, all trades have been awarded, but the construction manager will accept Letters of Interest at lhunt@shawmut.com. Demolition of the former McCoy Stadium site has commenced. Project is for the construction of the new Unified Pawtucket High School. The groundbreaking was held on April 10, 2025. Project completion anticipated in December 2028. Uniting Tolman Senior High School and Shea Senior High School into a Unified Campus • Future home to approximately 2,100 students • New school building will be approximately 375,000 GSF • Integrated high school offering academic programs and career & technical education programs • Features a “marketplace” for community engagement *Subcontractor bidding may be ongoing for select trades. Interested subcontractors should contact the awarded general contractor to check on available bidding opportunities.
