General Contractors are notified that GS 87, Article 1 are observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General Contractors submitting bids must have a license classification for Building Contractor Accompany each proposal with a cash deposit or certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the proposal.
