Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kissimmee, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 80-unit multi-residential development; and 40-unit residential development.

The City purchased an old hotel, now known as the Haven Project, to convert the property into a mix of emergency housing and apartment units. The property is located at 1815 W. Vine Street in Kissimmee. It will have a mix of 40 emergency housing units and 80 apartment units and make them available to those in need. Renovation of 43 existing hotel rooms into 43 efficiency style apartment units including 3 accessible units, as well as renovations (exterior and interior) to the new front office (former hotel lobby) in phase 1a. The development will consist of emergency beds, studio apartments, and two-bedroom apartments, providing housing for low and moderate-income residents. The project was funded by the American Rescue Funds, the County, City, HOME Investment Partnerships, and the Community Development Block Grant. This project is Federally Funded. Applicable federal regulations, such as CDBG Program requirements set forth in 24 CFR 570, subpart K, and the Code of Federal Regulations in 2 CFR Part 200, may apply. The City purchased the former Super 8 hotel, now known as the Haven on Vine project, to convert into a combined use of emergency housing and affordable apartment units. 2. The property is located at 1815 W. Vine Street in Kissimmee. It will have 40 emergency housing units and 80 apartment units available to qualifying applicants in need. 3. The development will consist of emergency beds, studio apartments, and two-bedroom apartments, providing housing for low- and moderate-income residents. 4. The project's primary funding sources are the American Rescue Funds, the County, City, HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan, and the Community Development Block Grant. 5. The construction will include all site work, utilities, and renovation/construction of buildings required to provide fully functional facilities. 6. The project is divided into two major phases: Phases 1A and 1B (the Main Building with 43 studio units and 40 (2) bedroom apartments) and Phases 2A and 2B (the Annex Building with 40 studio units and an office building). Efficiency Studio Apartment Units: a) Renovate the 43-room hotel into 43-efficiency apartments with two accessible units. b) Renovate the common area into an upgraded meeting room, construct new restrooms, and replace PTAC units. c) Exterior facade upgrades. d) Upgrade electrical service to have separate electrical panels in each unit. e) Remove all cast iron drain piping and replace with PVC piping. f) Remove all copper water piping and replace it with PVC piping. g) Replace existing plumbing fixtures per plans. h) Fire sprinkler design is to be provided by others. Phase 1B - Ten Fourplex Apartment Building Renovation: a) The Update the exterior/facade of each of the ten fourplexes per approved plans. b) Roof Replacement (10 Buildings) The property is located at 1815 W. Vine Street in Kissimmee.
