Site work for a mixed-use development in Jupiter, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
This project scope includes the replacement of fencing surrounding and inside the Jupiter Skate Park, fencing around racquetball courts, steel ramp replacement of multiple Skate Park ramps, shade sail replacement, concrete repairs and reconfiguration of the Skate Park office and concession stand building. In order to keep Abacoa Community Park at its current level of exceptional service, several renovations are needed. Phase 1 of Abacoa Community Park was constructed in 2003 and includes the Jupiter Skate Park, basketball, racquetball and Har-Tru tennis courts and is now in its 20th year of operation. Several amenities have reached their end of life and are in need of repair and/or replacement. Original fencing is currently in place at ACP and will need to be replaced in FY25 for safety purposes. One large shade sail covering the observation deck and a smaller structure are rusting and in need of replacements as well as the addition of more shade sails based on community feedback. A steep grass embankment continues to erode and remains a safety hazard to mow. An alternative material will be installed to replace the existing sod. The 20 year old concrete and steel skate park has cracks throughout the park that continue to widen and cause potential skating hazards. The steel structures on ramps throughout the park are rusted and at their end of life expectancy and will need replacement to keep the park safe. FY25 includes all fencing replacements and concrete restoration; FY26 includes steel ramp replacement, shade sail replacement and addition; FY27 includes embankment replacement and office/concession redesign. Each year also includes planning and design costs. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 28,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
