**As of June 25,2025, the project was awarded to McKinney Construction, Inc., with an awarded amount of $1,097,604.50.** The Base Bid includes but is not limited to providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment,supervision, and plan to install 5,447 linear feet of 6-inch trenchless water line, 250 linear feet of 6-inch open cut water line, 3,036 linear feet of 4-inch trenchless waterline, 200 linear feet of 4- inch open cut water line, and 300 linear feet of 2-inch Schedule 40 trenchless water line. An Alternate Bid will include the installation of an additional 4,023 linear feet of 6-inch trenchless water line, 150 linear feet of 6-inch trenchless water line with 12-inch welded steel encasement pipe, 200 linear feet of 6-inch open cut water line, 2,358 linear feet of 4-inch trenchless water line, 100 linear feet of 4-inch open cut water line, and 100 linear fee of 2-inch Schedule 40 water line, all of which are outlined in the Contract Documents and Specifications. Service Connections If the amount of the bid exceeds $50,000.00, Official Bidder's Bond signed by the Surety and Bidder in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each proposal. Attendance at the conference is mandatory and shall be done remotely as indicated below, and bids will be accepted from only those Contractors attending. Any bids received from Contractors not in attendance will be returned unopened. The Engineer will determine the validity of attendance, at the Engineer's sole discretion. The Engineer will conduct the Virtual Pre-Bid Conference and Contract Documents will be accessible during the Conference for those attending via computer, tablet, or smartphone. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in any bid, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest bid as determined by the City, or to the bidder who provides goods and services at the best value to the City. Bids may be held by the City of Rosenberg for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
