A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Question Deadline 07/09/2025 Inquiries which are received less than fourteen (14) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids may not be answered. 2025 Lead Service Line Replacement The work generally consists of the replacement of approximately 730 lead or galvanized steel lines for residences within the town of Harrison from the water main to the water meter in the home. The project is fund-ed through the State Revolving Fund (SRF) program. The total dollar amount of the construction project will not exceed the funds available. The number of water service lines will be adjusted based on the accepted unit price bid to stay within budget. Work will generally include coordination with the homeowner, verification of water service line material inside the home and at the curb stop, excavation, removal or abandonment of existing service line, installation of copper service line, curb stop and box, ball valves, testing, flushing, backfill, soil erosion and sediment control, traffic control, housekeeping, full restoration to existing conditions including landscaping, sidewalks, curbs, paving, striping, data management and other tasks to complete the work. Work may require dewatering and trench shoring. Bid Security is required in the amount of 10% of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all bids which fall under certain circumstances pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, or to waive any minor informalities or non-material exceptions in a bid where such is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and fairness of the bidding process. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
