29th Avenue - 78th Street to 76th Street The project includes milling asphalt and concrete pavement, installing new and replacing old storm inlets, manholes and lateral pipe, removing and replacing concrete sidewalk and driveways, replacing all curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt, adjusting various sanitary and storm structures, restoration, signage and any other incidental items necessary to complete said work as shown on the plans and these specifications Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check, in the sum of five per cent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as enumerated in the specifications.
