As of September 10, 2025, the project was awarded to Matagorda Construction and Materials (MCM) but the awarded amount is not available. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Approximately 56,200 LF Regrading Ditches 2. Approximately 11,500 LF Storm Sewer & Culverts, 12"-48" 3. Other appurtenant items A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Matagorda County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Matagorda County for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and supervision necessary to perform all the work shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications and shall deliver the work complete in all respects and in full accordance with the Contract Documents. All incidental services and materials which may be reasonably inferred as necessary to accomplish the intended end result shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR whether or not specifically shown on the Drawings or itemized in the Specifications. This item shall govern the preparation of a seed bed to the lines and grades indicated on the Drawings, sowing of seeds, fertilizing, mulching with straw, cellulose fiber wood chips, recycled paper mulch and other management practices along and across such areas as indicated in the Drawings or as directed by the Engineer or designated representative.
