The City of Savannah is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to process yard trimmings collected or generated by City operations including residential yard waste and urban forestry debris. Electronic submitted bids accepted only. Description of Work (Specs that need to be met) 4.2.1 For the purpose of these specifications, yard trimming shall mean: o Tree stumps o Tree trunks o Leaves o Brush o Grass o Clippings o Shrub and tree pruning o Discarded Christmas trees o Nursery and greenhouse vegetative residuals o Vegetative matter resulting from urban forestry activities o Landscaping development and maintenance other than mining, agricultural, and silviculture operations. This is an annual contract and prices are to be held firm. The first term shall begin on the date of award and end one year after. This agreement may be renewed for up to four (4) additional 12-month periods, if all contracting parties so agree and services provided by the vendor have been satisfactory. In the event this contract is not renewed prior to the expiration of any term, this contract shall continue to be honored on a month-to-month basis until this contract has been renewed.
