Supply Underground Water Storage Tank and Accessories The following equipment shall be supplied and delivered by the successful Bidder: 1. Underground Water Storage Tank Minimum Capacity 39000 Litres. Tank must be designed to be installed below grade Adequate access port at top of tank to allow for entry to tank for inspection, repairs etc. With locking provisions to prevent unauthorized access to tank. Venting to allow for adequate airflow during filling and drafting operations. Venting to have provision to prevent animals, insects and debris etc. from entering tank. 2. Required Accessories, Fittings and provisions Water level indicator that can be read from above grade Above ground Fire Department Dry Hydrant Connection with minimum 6 inch pipe and 6 inch NH Female Fitting and protective cap. Centre height of fitting not to exceed twenty-four inches above grade when installed Above ground Fire Department Fill connection with minimum 65 mm pipe and 65mm NH Female fitting with protective cap. Centre height of fitting not to exceed twenty-four inches above grade when installed Below grade inlet flange/fitting to allow filling from existing domestic water supply with internal float system to prevent overfilling of tank Mounting of submersible pump at the floor of tank. To include both plumbing. mount, torque arrester (if required) and wiring provisions. Submersible pump may be provided by Bidder or Township for installation by Bidder. (Note - Electrical service is limited to 115 and 220 V single phase power) Preferred pump output is 150gpm or higher. Below grade discharge port/flange and internal tank plumbing matching submersible pump to connect tank to fill station inside fire station. Minimum two-inch diameter discharge piping. Footprint of tank, including excavation space around tank must not exceed 20 feet wide by 40 feet in length. 3.
