The project contemplated herein consists of the Contractor performing the following work: o Replace the two (2) 3" isolation gate valves for System 258-BP-1. These valves are not part of the factory assembled skid mounted system. Re-use the existing system bypass valve. Replacing the isolation valves will require a brief outage of all W1 water to the entire building, by closing the main W1 supply valve to D&D that is in the basement of D&D. o Replace System 258-BP-2 completely, EXCEPT that the existing hydro-pneumatic tank is to be re-used on the new system. The contractor shall work with the system supplier to have the skid shipped without a hydro-pneumatic tank, for the contractor to re-install the existing tank on the new skid. Re-use the existing system isolation valves and bypass valve. o On the west side of Level 4, install a new 3" tee and outlet gate valve in the 3" horizontal boosted pressure W1 header, just south of the booster system, in the vicinity of wall mounted panel 258-MMP-1A. o On the east side of Level 4, install a new 3" tee and outlet gate valve in the 3" vertical boosted pressure W1 header, above the system bypass. o Install a new 3" pipe, field routed by the contractor, between the two new 3" tees and valves. This will allow either booster system to serve the entire building, Levels 4, 5, 6, 7, and penthouse, with the other system out of service. o There are two existing water heaters, one adjacent to but not part of each booster system. The existing water heaters will remain. o Remove and dispose of all existing items that are not to remain. Fee for bidding online is $42.00
