Site work and new construction of a manufacturing facility in Rancho Cordova, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a manufacturing facility; and for site work for a manufacturing facility.

Construction of a partially earth-sheltered CMU Animal Barn structure with a composite roof deck roof structure, with paver and vegetated protected membrane roofing, and associated fire lane and site work. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Owner, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to Soil Born Farms as bid security. The bid security shall be provided as a guarantee that within five (5) working days after the Owner provides the successful bidder the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds and certificates of insurance. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful Bidder fails to comply within said time. No interest will be paid on funds deposited with the Owner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Pursuant to the provisions of Articles 1 and 2 of Chapter 1, Part 7, Division II, of the Labor Code of the State of California, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages, and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for holidays and overtime work, for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute the Project contemplated under this Agreement shall be paid to all workers, laborers and mechanics employed in the execution of said Project by Contractor, or by any subcontractor doing or contracting to do any part of said Project. The appropriate determination of the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations is filed with, and available for inspection at the Department of Industrial Relations website. Contractor shall post, at each job site, a copy of such prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director for the California Department of Industrial Relations. The Owner shall award the contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by the Owner from the BASE BID ALONE. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. 076-0010-009, -014, -015 Questions asked by pre-qualified Prospective Bidders at the Pre-Bid Site Walk not specifically addressed within the Contract Documents shall be answered in writing, and shall be sent to all pre-qualified Prospective Bidders who have notified Owner of interest per Article 5 of Instructions to Bidders. Questions regarding this Notice Inviting Bids may be directed to the Owner, c/o Donna Huntingdale, Building Rx, at email donna@building-rx.com with a copy to Shawn Harrison, Soil Born Farms Founder & Co-Director at email sharrison@soilborn.org and to Jason Ellis, Ellis Architects at email jason@ellis-architects.com. No other members of the Owner's staff or governing body should be contacted about this procurement during the bidding process. Any and all inquiries and comments regarding this Bid must be communicated in writing, unless otherwise instructed by the Owner. The Owner may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Bidder who engages in any prohibited communications. Prospective Bidders unclear as to the true meaning of any part of the Drawings, Specifications or other proposed contract documents may submit to the Owner a written request for interpretation. The prospective Bidder submitting the request is responsible for prompt delivery, and no later than Wednesday 4/16 at 3pm (see Article 34 within Instruction to Bidders).
