Construction Services for Letter of Interest - HNF Parking Lot Gate Motor Upgrade This project consists of parking lot security gate upgrades at the Hanford, CA (HNF) Station to enhance Amtrak’s assets, provide positive customer service and experience, and improve safety and security for customers and Amtrak employees. The scope of work for this project consists of: Gate Operator ? Remove existing damaged Liftmaster SL3000 slide gate operator ? Complete the tail section to the top of the gate frame for a rear safety edge and cover the tail section with expanded sheet metal as there can be no openings greater than 2 1/4", as needed per manufacturer instructions. ? Cover the exposed v-track wheel to eliminate the exposed pinch point, as needed per manufacturer instructions. ? Add powder coated expanded sheet metal to the slide gate and the adjacent fence line as the picket spacing is greater than 2 1/4", as needed per manufacturer instructions. ? Set a new fall over post to prevent the gate from falling over more than 45 degrees, as needed per manufacturer instructions. ? Weld an open positive stop on the v-track to limit travel to the designated fully open position, as needed per manufacturer instructions. ? Install a new slide gate operator with a battery back up system that is compatible with the existing gate system. ? Mount a new reversing edge at the rear and front of the gate frame ? Mount a new reflective photo eye to protect across the driveway opening ? Existing outside keypad will be removed from the existing post. A new compatible wireless keypad will be mounted on the brick wall surrounding the dumpster. Permanently mounted access controls intended for users activate, must be located at least 6 feet away from any moving part of the gate. ? Reinstall existing 110 volt power and existing knox emergency access wires in to the new system
