(adam.luke@mrbgroup.com) The Project includes the following Work: The project involves the construction of up to about 5,100 linear feet of new 12-inch diameter PVC water line, including gate valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and asphalt/concrete pavement replacement as needed. Work is to begin at the intersection of CR 307 and CR 305 and proceed west. The intent is to construct as much new pipe as possible based on market prices at the time of bidding. Project has an expected duration of 180 days. A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held. The City of Jarrell, Williamson County, Texas, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate must be paid on this project. The City of Jarrell does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders will note that the construction plans show a water line extension of nearly 5,100 LF. However, there is only 2,700 LF in the bid form for 12 IN pipe. The intent is to begin construction at the intersection of CR 305 and CR 307, and proceed west along CR 305 as shown on the plans. Based on market bid prices, the intent is to use all currently available construction funding to close out the 2021 and 2022 CDBG grants. Additive or deductive change orders will be issued as necessary to maximize the funding. If not all 5,100 LF can be constructed with the current funding, the City will have shelf-ready construction plans when the next round of funding is available.
