Description: This project, located in Howard County, is for the extension of the existing deceleration lane on I-70 eastbound Lane at US 29 southbound Ramp. A total distance .24 miles. The work will consist of the following: (a) Widening of I-70 eastbound to construct a deceleration lane with shoulder approximately 835 linear feet. (b) Construction of an overhead guide sign over I-70 eastbound lane for the US 29 southbound ramp. Removal of an existing overhead guide sign. (c) Extension of an existing 36 - inch reinforced concrete pipe culvert and end section. (d) Traffic barrier W - beam installation. (e) Storm water management. To commence work as specified in the "Notice to Proceed" and to prosecute the work to complete the contract within/or before 04/30/2026 (calendar date) (f) Erosion and sediment control. (g) Maintenance of traffic including use of Automated Speed Enforcement devices. (h) Pavement marking and signing. (i) Installation of slope stabilization.
