The City of St. Petersburg is seeking responses from qualified vendors to provide aquatic chemical application (alum) services to a residential stormwater pond. Question Submission Deadline:April 23, 2025, 12:00pm. All questions must be submitted via City's online. The following documents are required to be considered responsive: Complete Cost Proposal Current COI or Letter of Insurability FDACS issued applicator license for aquatics One (1) or more references from similar projects done within the last three (3) years The application of alum should be by boat in a 26-acre stormwater pond in a residential area of St. Petersburg. Application is 15,600 gallons of alum for a targeted dose rate of 9 mg Al/liter. This project is part of a yearly application of alum to combat high nutrients in this waterbody. Dosage rate is specified by the City and work shall take place over the course of no more than 48 hours. Work is typically applied by boat with drop lines and alum is refilled in a section of right-of-way which provides access to loading by truck. The entire hose length is no more than 50 feet from roadway to shoreline. Traffic set up is not required nor provided by City. .3. Maximum Contract Completion Time Once work begins, it must be completed in two days. 4.4. Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, Vendor must meet the following qualifications: Have been in the business of providing aquatic herbicide or alum treatment as described herein for a minimum of three (3) years. Have the ability to obtain the minimum insurance requirements set forth in the base agreement Must have FDACS issued applicator license for aquatics 4.5. Vendor Responsibilities Must be able to apply 15,600 gallons of alum treatment within 48 hours. Location is a stormwater pond named Harbor Isle Lake in St. Petersburg, Fl - the closest residential address is 7200 16th Ct NE. Alternatively, the GPS Coordinates of where the access to the lake is : 2750'11.9"N 8236'50.6"W on Google Maps Materials and Equipment needed to perform include: 15,600 gallons of alum Boats or floating work platform to evenly distribute alum. Schedule Work must be completed before July 1, 2025 Alum must be applied within 48 hours of start of application, preferred less than 24 hours. Work must only be conducted between 7am - 8pm. Deliverables of performance Communication 7 days before expected start and estimated stop times.
