A The Craig County Board of Supervisors (County) invites Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms/individuals for general professional architectural and engineering services required to support a variety of infrastructure and public works projects. The term of the contract shall be one year, renewable for up to three additional terms, at the discretion of the County. The fee schedules shall be negotiable upon the conclusion of each one-year term. The sum of all projects performed in a contract term shall not exceed $10 million, and the fee for any single project shall not exceed $2.5 million, pursuant to Section 2.2-4303.1 of the Code of Virginia. Services are anticipated to include general consulting, preliminary architecture/engineering reports, project design, inspection, representation with regulatory agencies, construction administration, etc. Additionally, services may include assisting the County with development of funding applications for federal/state/private funding including, but not limited to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, Appalachian Regional Commission, USDA Rural Development, Economic Development Administration, Virginia Department of Historic Resources, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Department of Transportation, South East Rural Community Assistance Project, and others. For projects successful in obtaining funding, the County reserves the right, if it so deems, to enter into negotiations with the selected firm for design, inspection and other related services for said projects as part of the services procured herein. If a contract is satisfactory and advantageous to the Public Body and can be negotiated at a price considered fair and reasonable, the award shall be made to that offeror. Otherwise, negotiations with the offeror ranked first shall be formally terminated and negotiations conducted with the offeror ranked second, and so on until a satisfactory contract is reached.
