Stony Brook University Hospital intends to make an award for the above-noted commodity, product, and/or service. A sealed bid will be held. An award will be made to one single Prime Contractor. A Wicks Waiver has been applied for by the Hospital. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, shall include, but not be limited to the following: performing, installing, furnishing, and supplying all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 24/25-069, titled Install Redundant Exterior Water Main and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. RFI's (Request for Information - Technical Questions) All Bidders questions must be submitted in writing, citing the particular IFB page, section, and paragraph number where applicable to matthew.degudicibus@stonybrookmedicine.edu by May 2nd, 2025, 5:00 PM. Questions received after the closing date for inquiries will not be answered. All questions must be relevant to the Bidders response to this IFB. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: An existing city water (CW) loop supplies the Health Science Center (HSC), which consists of the Hospital; Clinical Sciences Tower (CST); Basic Science Tower (BST), and other buildings. These Repairs are to insure there is no interruption to the city water supplying the HSC BST and Hospital. This project shall provide increased reliability and accessibility by providing the East Campus Health Science Center, HSC, system with new valves to replace the existing, that are broken and/or inoperable and moving the line making future work easily accessible.
