DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the construction of approximately: Item Unit Quantity Milling Pavement 2 SQ YD 7361 4 Subsurface Drain (Perforated) LF 4110 48 Manhole with Trash Pump EA 1 Concrete Curb & Gutter LF 580 Install Sanitary Sewer Casting EA 5 4 Subsurface Drain (Non-Perforated) LF 1180 6 Concrete Driveway Pavement SQ YD 250 Superpave FFA 42 TON 818 together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work under the Contract must be complete by 05/22/26. Owner on its own initiative may issue Addenda to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents. 7.02 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing to the Issuing Office. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. BID SECURITY: Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor s license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder s bond. A bidder s bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal s bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under Section 45-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder s bond must be forfeited to the governing body and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder A pre-bid conference will not be conducted for this Project OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
