Vernon Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvements for the City of Effingham, Effingham County, Illinois. The project shall consist of manholes, 8 sanitary sewer pipe, 6 sanitary sewer pipe, sanitary sewer taps, connection to existing sanitary manhole, connection to existing sanitary sewer and service line, disconnection of existing sanitary sewer service, pavement removal and replacement and other miscellaneous work. Proposals must be submitted to the City Clerks Office, and shall be enclosed in a separate and sealed envelope endorsed Mt. Vernon Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvements. Each proposal shall contain the name of every person or firm interested in the same and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashiers check, bank draft or certified check for not less than five(5) percent of the amount of the bid. The City of Effingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City. It is anticipated that a Notice of Award of a contract will be issued within 30-to-45 days of the date bids are received and that a Notice to Proceed will be issued within 10 days of the date of the Notice of Award if contractor provides proper insurance and bonding in a timely manner. Work on this project is subject to the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act 30 ILCS 570/1-7 is the Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12)
