The City of Moncton is seeking a qualified Consultant or Consultant Team to develop a design for a highly energy-efficient multiple-unit dwelling that can be readily replicable on typical residential infill lots found within the inner-urban neighbourhoods of Moncton. Once completed, the design will be the property of the City of Moncton and made available at no cost to the local building industry to encourage development of this essentially pre-approved design. By absorbing the one-time up-front costs of producing a design that meets the City's site, energy and functional criteria, the City intends to facilitate and accelerate the development of low-rise, multi-unit, high-energy-efficiency infill apartments to meet both climate and housing goals. This project is supported by the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) administered by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
