Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Ware River Sec Culvert Replacements at MP 19.84 & 19.96. Removal, Disposal & Replacement of exist. twin 8" CMP culverts with 24" RCP, wingwall, and sheet pile wall at MP 19.84. Removal, Disposal & Replacement of exist. 36"x36" stone box culvert with 48" RCP at MP 19.96. Work includes exist. track removal, storage, & reinstall; and design, install, maintenance, & removal of temp support of excavation, erosion control and dewatering systems. Prospective bidders must be prequalified per MBTA "Procedures Governing Classification & Rating of Prospective Bidders." No award will be given to a contractor not prequalified by MBTA in Cl. 1, General Transit Const., and/or Cl. 3, Trackwork. not at the pre-bid. Bidders must provide: 1. List of equipment that will be used 2. Completed Bid Bond 3. List of all work in last 3 years of similar size & scope demonstrating experience & qualifications 4. List of ongoing projects and 3 references from projects listed 5. Approved FRA drug & alcohol testing plan. Contractor experience working in and around an active rail line and ability to complete work in a limited work window are required. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
