Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Morristown, New York. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Project work includes rehabilitation of the Day Use Area near the beach at Jacques Cartier State Park. Dredge the beach and bay and add new beach sand. Dredging spoils will remain within park; Replace the lower unit block retaining wall along the shore with upgraded segmented block wall and integrated railings; install 8-foot wide asphalt pavement walkway; add railings to the step segments; stabilize the waterfront embankment with topsoil and lawn/flower seed. Bathhouse area reconstruction including addition of shower towers and a drinking fountain, upgraded benches and interpretive signage. Improve circulation and accessibility including addition of an ADA walk from the bathhouse to the existing beach walkway and replace existing asphalt walks in the area; addition of ADA picnic pad; upgrade ADA parking areas, crosswalks, and access routes at bathhouse. Improvements to the pavilion and playground water service and amenities with addition of new waterline, water fountain and concrete pavement, including a concrete pad for the fountain and accessible walkway connection to playground. As of April 21, 2025, this project is in the final planning phase. A consultant has been selected for the project.
