The City of Springfield is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: SPRINGFIELD CIVIC CENTER The Project includes the following Work: Civil Site Work, New Civic Center (12,094 sf), Landscaping, and related improvements. The Project has an expected duration of 380 days Envelope(s) containing bids must be sealed and marked Sealed Bid for Construction of Springfield Civic Center. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract, if awarded, based on the base bids and any combination of additive or deductive (if applicable) bid item(s), whichever the Owner determines is in the Citys best interest. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The bids must be accompanied by a Form 287 Drug Free Workplace, Public Entity Crime Statement, plus other documents required in the Instructions to Bidders, and by a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashiers check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into an agreement with the Owner if his bid is accepted. The bid shall remain in force for sixty (60) days after the time of opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Owner.
