Demolition will include the removal of existing structures, concrete, piping and the evaporation pond. Contaminated soil in the area muat be excavated as needed to meet applicable standards and best practices. All waste material must be removed and disposed of properly off site. Some material will need to be managed and disposed of as hazardous waste, depending on the level of contamination. Project location: Rawhide Energy Station, 2700 E. County Road 82, Wellington, Colorado 80549 Some of the existing piping will need to be modified to reroute wastewater that currently flows to the existing evaporation pond into a new temporary storage tank that will be placed nearby. The Contractor will furnish all equipment, supplies, materials, labor, supervision, administration, management and services for the Work shown and indicated on the Drawings and described in these Technical Specifications and in full compliance with all applicable permits and regulations. The planned Work includes: 1. Site preparation 2. Placement of frac tank east of the FTP. 3. Rerouting of drainpipes from two CT wash water drain tanks and two Oil-Water Separators (OWS) to new piping discharging into the frac tank. 4. Installing heat trace on aboveground pipe and installing electrical cable and conduit to heat trace. 5. Draining the FTP 6. Removing the FTP liner 7. Excavating below the FTP footprint 8. Demolishing all structures at the FTA including the fire tower, storage structure, concrete pads, aboveground and buried utilities and fences 9. Soil excavation at designated areas of PFAS impacts 10. Backfilling and regrading as described in the Technical Specifications and shown on the Drawings 11. Draining and removal of the buried stormwater/drainage conveyance pipe discharging to the FTP. 12. Transportation and disposal of contaminated materials, including PFAS contaminated soil, sludge, liquids, concrete, FTP liner, and pipe.
