Billerica Public Schools will receive bids for Paving demo and replacement at the Hajjar Elementary school. Removal and Disposing of current asphalt by the Hajjar Kindergarten playground. Then replacing approximately 6400 Sq Ft ofAsphalt. The work will include all labor and material described in the scope of work. An alternate Quote for replacing 7400 Sq. ft. is included in this bid. All bids must be made on the official bid form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed is a sealed envelope. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within thirty (30) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Subsequent to thirty days an offer may be withdrawn in writing.. Billerica Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive or conditional bid document *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Contractor shall furnish all ofthe materials and perform all work to the project specifications below. Subcontracting any of the work is NOT permitted. A 50 % payment bond is required ifthe price is greater than $25,000. All work must be completed no later than August 30th, 2025. Yd. 6400 Sq. ft. of existing asphalt - Removal Material as needed o Remove and/ or reclaim up to 3 " of existing asphalt and dispose of at a legal dumping facility o Dispose of at a legal Dumping facility Gravel Installation: Furnish and Install Gravel o Grade Area Away from Building and towards Softball field o Compact area Replace Asphalt: Approximately 6400 Sq. ft - Grade and Compact area away from Building and Towards Softball Field o Apply tack coat to vertical surfaces of existing asphalt before paving o Install an average of 1 inch binder course or bituminous concrete/hot mix asphalt o Compact and roll to a smooth finish o Install an average of I-V2 inch top course of bituminous concrete/ hot mix asphalt o Compact and roll to a smooth finish o Alternate Price-Total of 7400 sqft of asphalt to extend towards playground
