Site work for a water / sewer project in Courtenay, British Columbia. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Anderton Sanitary Lift Station project. The City of Courtenay is proceeding with remediation works along the existing Courtenay Riverbank to naturalize the foreshore. These works include the demolition of the adjacent Anderton Arms apartment building some time in 2025, the future removal of the existing steel retaining structure, and a naturalized sloped bank extending towards Anderton Avenue. To facilitate this project, relocation of the existing Anderton Lift Station will be required. TIMELINE: Request for proposals from qualified consulting firms for the provision of engineering consulting services for the project has closed and a preferred proponent has been chosen. Consulting firms for the provision of engineering consulting services for the Anderton Sanitary Lift Station project through options analysis, and subject to satisfactory performance and Council approval, detailed design, contractor procurement and construction administration. Further update in late 2026.
