Reference Number 0000384260 Wastewater Pump Station No. 30 (hereafter PS 30) is a submersible type station located on Terminal Island. PS 30 discharges to Pump Station No. 2 (hereafter PS 2) located on Star Island, via approximately 3,300 linear feet of 10-inch ductile iron (hereafter DI) force main. A failure occurred on a segment of the 10-inch force main that crosses under the MacArthur Causeway through a concrete pipe chase for electrical conduits. To mitigate this issue and restore service, the City of Miami Beach (The City) installed an emergency above-ground temporary HDPE bypass system. The bypass runs from PS30 northward under the MacArthur Causeway bridge, westward along the seawall parallel to the MacArthur Causeway, northward along Bridge Road, and reconnects to the existing 10-inch force main at a valve at the southern end of Star Island. The City intends to the locate the existing 10-in force main and rehabilitate the subaqueous portion through Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining. The scope of work includes the initial assessment, cleaning, lining, and post-installation assessment of about 694 linear feet of a 10-inch DI pipe along Bridge Rd from the MacArthur Cswy to the southern end of Star Island. The Work outlined in the Contract Documents includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary to complete the required work described here including all appurtenant work, complete, tested, and ready for operation, including temporary utilities and facilities as required, all surveying work for layout construction and as-builts, all in conformance with these Contract Documents and City of Miami Beach Public Works Standards.
