Unless otherwise specified in the proposal, all bids must be submitted with a proposal guaranty equal to 5 % of the bid total. OKDOT - 245 - Bridge Repair - I-44 DESCRIPTION (Add the following:) This work consists of placement of Magnesium-Alumino-Liquid-Phosphate (MALP) Concrete with Soy Methyl Ester Polystyrene (SME-PS) for the repair of damaged concrete members, as indicated in the Contract documents, including concrete repairs on horizontal, vertical, and overhead surfaces. Examples of MALP Concrete repairs may include repair of expansion joint headers, spalls, concrete beam ends, concrete precast members, full or partial depth bridge deck repairs, pier cap, column, dowel bar, and other repairs. MALP Concrete repairs are well suited to repairs requiring high early strengths and cold weather concreting. MALP Concrete can be mixed in buckets, pan mixers, or mortar mixers, and can be applied cast-in-place, hand-packed, or by pneumatic spray. MALP Concrete will bond to itself and other concretes such as Portland cement. MALP Concrete stops rust on contact by converting iron oxide to iron (ferrous) phosphate and inhibits future corrosion by bonding to and encapsulating the reinforcing steel. The use of MALP concrete with SME-PS has exceptional corrosion resistance, even when cracks are present.
