Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Manzanita, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Manzanita is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced General Contractors (GCs) for construction services for the construction of a waterline expansion, storm water system, retaining wall, pedestrian pathway, paving and traffic calming measures along Classic Street. The City's objective is to enter into a Construction Agreement with a qualified GC that will provide these services for the Manzanita Classic Street Project in conformance with ORS 279C.335(2) and Resolution 25-03. This alternative method of solicitation related to the RFP process is being used for this project. In general, the project will be constructed within an urban area with limited right of way and the requirement to maintain traffic through the work area. Landscaping will provide aesthetics as well as slope stability either side of Classic, including a vegetative strip between the Classic Street and the sidewalk. There will be traffic calming measures on Classic Street, including speedbumps, pavement markings, signage and reconstruction of the northeast corner at Laneda to make it ADA compliant for a north south crossing. These elements may be value engineered out if costs exceed available City funds. The elements of work include, but are not limited to: Installation of water main and appurtenances. Installation of storm drainage including storm pipe, manholes and catch basins. Construction of curbs. Construction of retaining walls. Installation of guardrail. Roadway reconstruction and paving. Landscaping. * As further detailed in Section V.R.ii.e and V.S, the City is soliciting pricing information based on two different schedules. The City will determine which schedule to pursue (and which pricing to score) prior to calculating the final proposal scores and issuing the Notice of Intent to Award. Est.
